OUR NEW POP-UP ART GALLERY
The BEC have just recently opened a Gallery in Barking Station which is a pop-up shop that exists to showcase the work of local creatives. This is the first initiative of many The Barking Enterprise Centre will be supporting within the creative sectors as we see a huge growth in this industry. The free show at the transport hub's busy concourse will also feature work by Dagenham photographer Jimmy Lee. The gallery is fast becoming known as London's latest creative hot spot with Be First leading a number of projects to support its further growth.
We are now recruiting for enthusiastic Gallery Assistants to join the new Gallery based in London Barking. The successful candidates will join our exceptional visitor experience team in providing an excellent visitor experience supporting visitors to the gallery for an initial 6 month period.
Our welcoming and friendly Gallery Assistants have important responsibilities for a range of services which includes:
Providing a world class Visitor Experience for our visitors
Ensuring the security and safety of visitors, staff, collections and building
Keep the space clean and tidy
Providing of knowledgeable information to our diverse audience
Supporting and promoting the BEC activities and services, including Featuring in the gallery or future galleries
To succeed in this role you will have previous experience of delivering outstanding visitor care. You will also be expected to have experience and understanding of security and safety issues. Ultimately you will need to be a proactive, outgoing, welcoming, approachable, highly visitor focused individual who gives the diverse needs of our visitors their full attention.
