Young Entrepreneurs

We offer an extensive programme of advice and support for entrepreneurs at every stage of growth. And through our years of experience, we’ve observed that young entrepreneurs face entirely different challenges to those who start their businesses later in life.

Often, entrepreneurs between the ages of 16 and 28 years can lack the inner confidence and life experiences needed to clear all the hurdles that come with starting a business. We are fortunate enough to have met many young entrepreneurs who challenge the negative stereotype for younger people! Rather than being lazy and indulgent, or lacking in a strong work ethic, we know there are many young people who have what it takes to succeed!

With Barking and Dagenham demographics showing that there are more young people primed for success than ever before, the opportunity to harness all that youthful energy and channel it into positive entrepreneurship that supports our local community just couldn’t be greater.

And with the launch of the new, dedicated space for young people to work from ‘The Alcove’, in November this year, we are uniquely and perfectly placed at the BEC to help young entrepreneurs grow in confidence, experience and ability.
